The use of portable electric fence and energizers to maximize the flexibility of the Grazier. Using these techniques, paddocks can be resized and reshaped according to the desired stocking density as well as forage growing season.
Stockpiled bermudagrass can make an excellent source of forage for dry cows in the fall. Strip grazing is the most efficient method of grazing stockpiled forages.

Stockpiled tall fescue can be deferred until late in winter and provides an excellent source of feed. Tall fescue will maintain its nutritional quality longer than most forages grown in the Southeast as a stockpiled forage. Stockpiled forage can greatly reduce the need to feed hay throughout the winter months.
Annual forages such as brassicas, annual ryegrass, and crimson clover may also provide an economical source of winter grazing in the southern portion of Georgia where cool season perennial forages such as tall fescue are not as well adapted.
